How you enter a Legal Description depends on the county in which you Run a Property Search. See:
Entering a legal in a TitlePoint CountyEntering a legal in a TitlePoint County
You can enter legal descriptions to run Combination, Property, and Tax searches. When typing legal descriptions you can search:
Consecutive and non-consecutive units, lots, or blocks:
To separate non-consecutive lots (such as 1,5,9) use a comma (,) with no spaces.
To separate consecutive lots (such as 1:9) use a colon (:), not a dash. Thru-lots must be greater than the from-lots. You can use alpha characters if they are in the same from- and thru- position (such as A1:A4).
You can use combinations of consecutive and non-consecutive ranges (1,5:9,11). If you use a combination of alpha and numeric characters:
Such as A1:C1 in your thru range, you will create searches A1, B1, and C1.
Such as A1:C5 in your thru range, you will create 15 searches: A1 thru A5, B1 thru B5, and C1 thru C5.
You can also use of a combination of thru units and thru lots.
In counties that allow special characters in legal fields, you can also use special characters in a thru range. For example, typing A-1:A-3 requests A-1, A-2, and A-3.
Consecutive and non-consecutive tax parcels within the same Book and Page:
To separate non-consecutive parcels (such as 1,5,9) use a comma (,) with no spaces.
To separate consecutive parcels (such as 1:9) use a colon (:), not a dash. Thru-lots must be greater than the from-lots.
Use combinations of consecutive and non-consecutive ranges (1,5:9,11).
