Running a Business Entity Search

To run a business entity search:

  1. Choose Search and click Business Entity to display Business Entity Search.

  2. Type an order number to Create an Open Order or Add Search to an Existing Order. If adding a search to an existing order, you must also click Add to Existing Order.

--OR--

Do not type an order number to perform a Non-Order Search.

  1. Optionally type Order Comments or Starter Remarks.

  2. Click to Choose State, County, Company, Department, and Title Officer options.

Note: County is not included as an option, as a Business Entity Search is a state-wide function not tied to counties.

  1. Type your name in Business Name. The system finds all listings that begin with the characters you type, so type portions of a name ("begins with") to display all permutations of that name.

  2. If more than one name result is found, results will display in a pick list.

  3. Click Begin Search to start the search. If you:

Note: It is possible, and acceptable, for a Business Entity Search to yield no results. TitlePoint will respond with a "No records found" message.
