Using Table of Contents, Index, and Keyword Search

When you click the Contents tab in the online help, the system displays the Table of Contents (TOC) of the online help in the reference pane.

The TOC is arranged in a hierarchical structure with books and pages that represent the categories of information in the Online Help system. When you click:

• A closed book, it opens to display its content (sub-books and pages).

• An open book, it closes.

• Pages, you select topics to view in the right-hand pane.

Clicking the Index tab in the online help facility displays the index for the online help system in the reference pane.

The Index pane displays a multi-level list of keywords and keyword phrases. These terms are associated with topics in the Online Help system and they are intended to direct you to specific topics. To open a topic in the right-hand pane associated with a keyword, click the keyword. If the keyword is used with more than one topic, a dialog opens so you can select a specific topic to view, then click Display.

Type one or more words, or a question in the Search field. This search allows you to find instances of the words you type within the context of the topics.

To perform a keyword search:

1. Type a word in the Search field.

2. Click Go or press Enter. The system displays a list of topics that contain the keyword.

Clicking the Search tab in the Online Help displays a keyword search field. This search allows you to find instances of the words you type within the context of the topics.

To perform a keyword search:

1. Click Search.

2. Type a word in the search field.

3. Click Go or press Enter. The system displays a list of topics that contain the keyword.

You can also perform a keyword search from the search field on the navigation bar. Use the same procedure to perform this search. The system displays the search results in the Reference pane.
