Using Online Help Links and Buttons

The Online Help system is easy to use and understand. Basically, you click a Help button on a screen or dialog box to display information about the screen or dialog box and to provide links to other related material.

The online help system has four kinds of links:

Topic LinksTopic Links

A topic link (also called a hyperlink) is bold and underlined. When you click a topic link, the system displays another online help topic. It may display a full topic page or it may display information in a Popup box.

Related Topic ButtonRelated Topic Button

The related topics button is at the bottom of the Topic page. When you click Related Topics, the system displays a drop-down list of help topics that are related to all topics in the system. When you select a topic, the system displays the topic page.

Informational LinksInformational Links

Underlined, italicized informational links display drop-down text that provides further information when clicked. Typically, an informational link will be part of a non-bulleted list. Click the link a second time to collapse the drop-down text. This is an informational link.

Pop-upsPop-ups

Underlined links display a small pop-up window with further information about the field or control. Clicking elsewhere in the topic causes the pop-up window to disappear.
