When Running a Search you can choose to:
Type an Order Number to identify an order in which to add your search results. Typing an order number can do one of the following:
Create an Open Order, which creates a new open order at the same time you perform the search.
Note: If Running a Property Search and you choose Create New Order for Each Legal Combination, see Choosing Create New Order for Each Legal Combination for information on how to enter your order number.
Add a Search to an Existing Order, which adds a search to an existing order. If adding a search to an existing order, you must also click Add to Existing Order.
Keep in mind the following rules when entering order numbers:
You can use alphanumeric characters and leading zeroes.
Special characters are allowed, including:
^ Accent circumflex (caret)
& Ampersand
@ At sign
{ } Braces
, Comma
$ Dollar sign
! Exclamation point
- Hyphen
# Number sign
( ) Parentheses
% Percent
. Period
+ Plus
~ Tilde
_ Underscore, but not at the beginning of the number
You cannot enter a duplicate order number within a department.
Not type an order number to run a Non-Order Search, which is a standalone search unassociated with any order.
Note: If running a Tax Search, only abbreviated tax reports are available when performing a non-order search, and the complete tax reports are available when you open an order.
